for DialUp Net Internet Services

To connect your Mac to the internet, you need two applications: a TCP program and a PPP program.

For your TCP program, if you have an older MacOS, you may have MacTCP.  Newer MacOS's come with Open Transport.  For your PPP program, you might want to download FreePPP.  Your Mac may already have a PPP program installed--ConfigPPP, but FreePPP is a little more robust.
