Configuring Netscape Communicator Mail
for DialUp Net Services
To use Netscape Communicator Mail first make sure that the
mail and news
servers are set up properly:

Run Netscape
Communicator by double clicking its icon

Select Edit |
Preferences.

Double-click "Mail and Groups" from the
Category
column.

Highlight Identity:

Your name as you
wish it to appear in outgoing mail messages and news articles |

Email
Address:

Your e-mail
address. This should be in the format of johndoe@dialupnet.com. |

Reply-to-Address:

Highlight Mail Server:

Mail Server User Name:

The POP3 username. Typically this would be the first part of the e-mail
address. For example for user John Doe who has an e-mail address of johndoe@dialupnet.com, the
POP3 username would be johndoe. |

Outgoing Mail (SMTP):

Incoming Mail Server:
|
mail.dialupnet.com |

Mail
Server Type:

POP3 |
Note: Netscape Communicator can retain the Services Password for each
user profile, if you do not want any mailbox(es) password-protected. To set this
up, click the More Options button. Enable the "Remember Mail Password"
option.

Highlight Groups Server:

Click [OK] to save the settings.
